PLSG is continually recruiting executives and serial entrepreneurs to join our Executive-in-Residence (EIR) team. We created our innovative EIR program to fulfill the Pittsburgh region's demand for experienced, domain-specific leadership. EIRs are full time employees of the PLSG, responsible for guiding seed and early-stage life sciences companies to successful commercialization of their biosciences products and services. These positions are appropriate for experienced C-level and senior executive managers with careers in the life sciences industry.PLSG also hires executives who are interested in more occasional work in specialty areas such as regulatory affairs or marketing.

Pittsburgh's world-class universities and medical facilities have long made it a center for life sciences innovations. Today, researchers continue this long tradition by producing leading-edge discoveries and technologies.

For many life sciences entrepreneurs, this work represents their first venture into company formation. By pairing them with our EIRs, PLSG exposes these companies to executive management with proven experience in leading new life sciences ventures, thus greatly improving their odds of success.

A new venue for your leadership

As an EIR, you will act as a mentor to emerging companies and entrepreneurs who can benefit from your company formation experience. You will directly assist company founders with high-level business strategy development, including:

• Business plan development
• Product and market development
• Technology transfer, licensing, and initial contracts
• Corporate partnering
• Capital formation and networking
