Celsense has developed perfluorocarbon nano-technologies to make therapeutic cells readily visible to MRI. The advantages of using fluorochemically-labeled cells include the ability to quantify and count the number of cells present at any desired or undesired location, a clean signal with no background noise, the ability to perform whole body screening, and no resulting cell toxicity.  The unique ability of Celsense’s fluorochemical technology to allow the visualization of cellular transplants non-invasively positions the Company to become the provider of a key component for the development of cellular therapies and to potentially enable the personalization of those therapies to the individual patient.
