A Health IT Pittsburgh Event: “It’s All About Partners!”
September 26, 2019 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
Health IT Pittsburgh is proud to present a series of workshops to help you find, contract, and successfully integrate your technology with large partners. In today’s competitive and fast paced HIT world, it’s all about building successful partner relationships.
This morning event, held at the PLSG, is broken down into three key concurrent sessions to provide maximum interaction and focused learning. Each session is targeted to a specific aspect of partner-building, and session leaders are knowledgeable experts who are ready to share their real-world experience with you.
Workshop #1: How to Find Partners
Come and get the inside scoop on partner relationships! In this workshop, learn about what you should be considering when evaluating partners, best practices, red flags and how to get the most bang for your buck.
Session Leader: Wendy Cofran
Wendy is the Director of Global Provider Strategy for Healthcare and Life Sciences at Salesforce. Previously, Wendy was a CIO in the Post‐Acute space for over 20 years. She served on HHS Cybersecurity Task Force 405(d), and two EMR product advisory committees.
Workshop 2: How to Contract with a Partner
Confidently create a partnership approach that reduces some of the more demanding and expensive components of contracting. Large organizations expect start-up companies to adhere to a rigorous contracting process. Learn the key elements to setting up a successful partner-contract.
Session Leader: Caren Tobin
Caren is an executive level healthcare professional experienced in strategic business development, product and program management, contract negotiation, and joint development initiatives. She has experience with many customer facets of the healthcare industry, including large health care systems, hospitals, payers, pharmaceutical companies, and providers.
Workshop 3: How to Successfully Integrate Your Technology
Interfacing with large HIT systems is a core need for HIT startups looking to accelerate growth, but working with these partners can also have significant challenges. In this workshop, we will explore some of the biggest technical difficulties and strategies to achieve success.
Session Leader: Christopher Hayes
Christopher is the Chief Technology Officer at Net Health, leading the organization’s product management, development, and integration efforts for their purpose-built Electronic Health Records. He has more than 20 year of HCIT experience and originally joined Net Health as a software engineer.
